A Vintage Christmas by Georgie

The holiday season is upon us and I’m not one for making lots of Christmassy things, but I do like to dabble a little. The sculpture paste was the lure for this creation. It really inspired to try and create angel wings for the background and texture.

For the wings I cut long strips of grey cotton, dipped in to the sculpture paste and in a concertina/ruffled effect created the wings. Using a heat tool I dried the majority and then left the rest to dry naturally. I applied white gesso over with some mini art stones, and then some of that gorgeous sparkly snowflake paste.

The heart was sprayed with Empress Gold from the ColorBloom collection. I love the way it pooled and collected in certain areas not giving an even covering, it gives it a far more interesting look.

The edges of the bag were coated in some Art Alchemy Paints. The first large layer was Steampunk Copper, then edge the second deeper, contrasting colour in Blackberry, pulling the eye in to the central focal area. This is also great for creating that warm vintage glow and makes those light areas really stand out too.

In amongst the white folds of the wings, I added some sparkly gold/pink tinged shadows. Lots of sparkle, which I have tried to capture in this photo, some Sugar Glitter for seasonal magic! Thanks for looking here today!

Winter layout by Cindy Brown

Hello Dear Creative Souls

Today I have for you a page that I created with pleasure, using watercolors from Prima. A little bit of texture with beautiful Prima flowers. And of course I made a little video that you can see at the bottom of this blog post.

I started the whole by creating some texture with tape and lace. I added flowers and art stones from Prima to create even more texture. I covered everything with white gesso and started my watercolor fun. I love prima watercolors - their quality is wonderful

I added stickers and tags from the 7 Dots Studio and that's it!
I love my layout, do you?
Enjoy my video :)

Peace on Earth by Eirini

Hello dear friends around the world!! It's Eirini again, with a Christmas mixed media tiny art, wishing everyone a wonderful season and a joyful holiday.
I created a small canvas using my wooden leftovers from many canvases I didn't know what to do with... Inspired by Marta Łapkowska's idea to glue them down and to make a wonderful background, I thought I should try that too. And the result is amazing!

A small wooden house inspired me - it brought up to my mind a song "I''l be home, for Christmas"... So my canvas is dedicated to everyone who's away from their home and will be, or at least try to be back at home!!

I painted everything with white Heavy gesso and some Crackle Texture paste. After letting it dry naturally to make my crackles more beautiful and visible, I used my Lindy's mists in teal and brown tones. Prima stamping with black Stazon and a bit of white acrylic painting was one of the final steps. Everything, what I had to do, was to add some Prima flowers, Scrapiniec chipboard pieces from the irChristmas collection, Prima die-cut leaves, UmWowStudio flair, 7 Dots Studio stickers and other embellishments.

So i wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as this is my last regular post in this year. See you in a year... Be safe, have fun, be creative... Peace on Earth !!
